How it works

Based upon an existing protocol SHOWstream has been tailored to suit the demanding requirements of todays live events. At the heart of each system is a controller managing a database of radio users. As its resource it has any number of radio bases and radios. Each radio has an group number and an individual three digit number. The controller knows the whereabouts of each radio on the site and its condition, if its in a call, unavailable or idle.

Every system can be interlinked by a public or private IP connection. This creates a very flexible radio system. Each radio site can see all the other radio systems resources so they can share telephone interconnections and so on.

The system is designed with reliability in mind. Power failures are reported to the system administator as well as local interference and any sort of network break.

SHOWstream is suitable for many applications where a team of users have outgrown the traditional "repeater on the roof" system. If GSM/Tetra coverage is weak/congested or not cost effective or an event takes place where there more that one location involved. If a system has to be shared out amongst many individual teams.
